Wesley Frank Craven
Wesley Frank Craven received his B.A. and M.A. degrees from Duke University and his Ph.D. from Cornell University, where he studied under Wallace Notestein. He was appointed to the faculty of New York University in 1928, where he taught for 22 years, except for a three-year period (1943-46) when he was on leave to serve as chief of the Operational History Branch of the USAAF. In 1950 he accepted a position at Princeton University, where he taught until his retirement in 1973.
