Jesse T. Shamshoian

Hello all! My name is Jesse, and I am a graduate of the University of San Diego and had the good fortune of studying in Oxford, England. After completing my studies, I began working as a writer (both technical and freelance). I have more than a decade's worth of experience working with students of all age groups. I started as an English teacher in the classroom and then transitioned to tutoring. I have been both a tutor and a director at two distinguished tutoring companies before embarking on my own private tutoring career. My expertise is in helping my students prepare for the PSAT, SAT, ACT, AP Language and Composition, and AP Literature and Composition exams and assisting them in writing impactful college application essays. I am a devoted practitioner of Vipassana meditation, and my tutoring approach is grounded in these meditation principles to help students perform optimally in both the classroom/exam setting as well as in life.

I live in San Diego, California, with my wife Rose and our puppy Rudy. I consider myself blessed to be able to do the things I am most passionate about professionally--guiding young folks as a private online tutor and working as a freelance author.
