Pairing vintage (color and black and white alike) photos from drag races with stories behind the track's history, events, and why they closed down, this is packed with powerful surveys of what put drag strips out of business, when, and more. Much evidence remains of these strips' past: this lovely title captures this remaining history in a gorgeous presentation for any race car fan and many a general-interest reader.
