Saqib Rana
Saqib Rana is a passionate story-poem writer and author. His heart lies with the oppressed, the sick, the hurt, the scared, and the lost people of the world. The foundation of his message and words is that pain is what unites us all, but that we fail to see that, stopping and inhibiting us from caring for and loving one another, helping each other, and making the world a better place for all.

A recent graduate and relatively younger author, his sole purpose is that his words reach those who need them. That his words bring peace to the people. That his words light the way and guide those in the darkness. And that his words end the pain of men and women, young and old, rich and poor, oppressed and free, and forge bonds of unity and togetherness between all, regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, or status.

His first book- a story-poem titled 'Story of Life: In a Tale of Words'- is dedicated to his mother, who passed away many years ago courageously battling cancer when he was in high school. A few years later, Saqib was also diagnosed with cancer and faced death in the eye. The journey of his pain, loss, and trials and tribulations is what gives way to the love in his heart for all- because he understands the pain of others, regardless of what form it takes, through the monumental pain he suffered and overcame.

Saqib strives to live his words and message. All profit from the book goes into the nonprofit, Noshi, that he founded and named after his mother. Noshi is dedicated to caring for and serving various groups in need domestically and internationally through grassroots level care projects. Lastly, Saqib is currently a graduate student at Johns Hopkins, completing his Master's in Global Health (Global Epidemiology), which he aims to use to help those in need even more by caring for those in under-served settings afflicted with disease, poverty, and oppression around the world.
