Daniel Rock

The Very Reverend Canon Daniel Rock, D.D., was a Roman Catholic Priest and noted scholar of liturgical history. After serving as chaplain for several influential Catholics, he became Canon of Southwark. Upon retiring from parochial work in 1854, he continued to write and helped develop the British Museum in Kensington, for which he wrote a history of textiles and textile manufacturing.
